History

Senator Gerolamo Gaslini, by deed of Notary G.B. Schiaffino signed on November 28th 1949 set up the Gerolamo Gaslini Foundation. He set up the headquarters of the foundation in Corso Italia no. 26 and he gave it all of his substantial patrimony.
Thus, the project that was first designed by the founder himself would come to its conclusion and the Pediatric Hospital Giannina Gaslini was founded in 1938.
Nowadays the Gaslini Foundation continues to manage all the activities related to the patrimony. The patrimony is also increased through the income stemming from donations and acquisitions.
