The mission

"The purpose of the Foundation is to donate its own revenues and, if necessary, its assets to the care, defense and assistance of children and in particular to strengthen the Giannina Gaslini Institute itself"

The Board of Directors annually establishes the amount of money to be spent for institutional purposes. The Foundation has also promoted and supported the creation of the International Training Centre Germana Gaslini (CISEF) by donating the property located in Via Romana della Castagna in Genoa Quarto to it. This property is actually the former Villa Quartara, which has been completely renovated by the Foundation itself and fully equipped for high level training activities in the medical sector. The Foundation also supports the training centre to manage the expenses it has to bear.
Furthermore, the Foundation supports its own association called Assegno Amico, a non-profit organization and the publication of the magazine Mondo Gaslini.
